PM Hun Sen Attends Boat Race Event in Takhmao City

KANDAL: On Sunday afternoon, Prime Minister Hun Sen visited the boat race event organized on the Bassac River Park in Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

This year, Kandal Province organized a two-day boat race at Bassac River Park, Takhmao City, from 29 to 30 October 2022. The boat race was organized to attract both national and international visitors to celebrate the Water Festival and enjoy other festivities such as floating lanterns, the moon festival and Ok Ambok, which will take place in the near future.

During the event, the Kandal Provincial Administration organized an exhibition selling a variety of local products. At night, there were floating lanterns, fireworks, and a concert featuring well-known Cambodian singers. A total of 92 boats were registered to participate in the race, including 46 boats, six rowing boats, 36 international standard boats for men, and four international standard boats for women, with a total holding capacity of 4,506 people and 784 security guards.

These joyful events were only possible because Cambodia continues to enjoy peace and prosperity in all areas.
